Hello all!
I'm building a booking system for a small family run mountain lodge facility.
We have 11 cabins to offer; all but two share occupancy capacity and price, so we have 6 groups/types of cabins, according to size and price.
Module's instructions state that I have to create one hotel room type for each group of cabins.
Thing is that our facility isn't a motel-hotel sort of compound in which all rooms are in the same building(s).
Our cabins are built in a forest and can be up to 40 ft (100 m) away from each other, so most of our patrons look for a specific cabin, even when there might be a suitable option of the same size a short distance away.
My questions:
What if I create 11 hotel room types, one for each cabin so our regular customers can look out directly for the preferred cabin while the new patrons can still look out for any kind of availability?
Will the search facility fail to sort out the available cabins for the new customers?
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Warm regards from sunny México!

larowlanHi Pepe
No, you can certainly make 11 room types and set the 'default number available' for each to 1.
It won't affect the search results.

That's good news for my eyes : )
After more than a year that I put this project in the freezer, and now I finally set my mind to build this booking system, which I (up to now) find amazing. Really ; )
I truly appreciate all your hard work (as well as Will's).
Warmest regards from México!
