Trying to get started with Drupal using the OpenChurch Installation Profile. Installing locally using XAMPP on Windows XP. Can't get past choosing language (English). I get this error:
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in C:\xampp\htdocs\drupal\includes\ on line 937
Can anyone help me with this? I think Drupal will be what I need, but can't get past the install to play with it and see.
(and if I am in the wrong place to ask this question, let me know that too!)

Try upping the php limits in php.ini:
max_execution_time =

You might also want to increase the following, while you are at it:
max_input_time =
memory_limit =
post_max_size =
upload_max_filesize =

I have made changes to my php.ini file, .htaccess file and settings.php file and I still get a 30 second error when all my settings are at 300.

I am running my local server with XAMPP. Do I need to be looking elsewhere for a setting? I have also looked for duplicate/other files of the same name and I have not run into this.

Everytime I run I get the 30 second error. Suggestions on how to find what else may be causing it?

Did you restart your webserver after making the changes?

What does phpinfo() show you for the max execution time? This php command will show you your current php configuration and settings.

I had the same error mentioned in the thread above. Changing the maximum time limit to 300 and restarting the server resolved the issue.
