Paragraphs or Linebreaks on frontpage

Hi,

I'm having great difficulty in creating paragrahs or linebreaks to body text on the frontpage. I have tried using the 'Full HTML' function with 'p' or 'br' tags however this still doesn't work. When I click on the title link for the body text it takes to me to another page where the text is shown correctly as per the HTML format.

Any help would be most appreciated.
