I'm trying to make my newly founded online creative writing workshop website (link in my sig), better, but I'm a drupal novice, so I was wondering if anyone could help me out - let me know if there are easy ways to do any of the things I want to do, or if I'd have to pay someone else to customize them for me (IE not do them at all). The site is all free to use, ad-free, and I pay for the hosting, so I don't have any kind of budget to pay for things.

1) The emphasis of the site is improving members' writing through specific assignments. I'm trying to encourage people to give feedback and one of encouraging people is to make it easier. I want to make it so that instead of just being able to comment on people's pieces in a separate post, that they can actually edit their own copy of the piece and drupal will track the changes that they make to the post--- like mark them up in red or something. This would simulate the way you can write in the margins of someone's printed piece.

2) I would like to know the easiest way to implement a more complex user profile-- one where you can see all the pieces that people have posted, and maybe the comments they've posted as well. It'd be nice to have an 'about me' section too, but not as important.

3) I would like the recent 'recent comments' and 'active forum topics' blocks to not only say the subject of a post, but to list the specific forum or forum container that they have been posted under. I would also like it to say the username of the person who posted.

I'd also very much appreciate any other suggestions for easy to implement upgrades that would improve the site.
