The 6.x-1.x-dev version is a port of the 5.x-1.x-dev version.

Where the Drupal 5 version was well tested but not particularly friendly to install. The Drupal 6 version should be easy to install but has only undergone limited testing by the developer, (me).

This is more or less a personal module that I've used as a starting point for the Drupal 8 version.

I've installed this on a vanilla Drupal 5 site and it appears to work with PHP 5.3.10 and I believe I had it running on 5.2.9 years ago.
