In d7, image fields are entities that can have fields added to them. So I've got photos on a news site that have titles, descriptions and photo credits. Is it possible to display these in color box? If not, it's a feature I'd really like to see.

Also, slightly more advanced than that- is/would it be possible to display a link to the node they are part of? For example, if I created a view to show all the images included in news articles, could the colorbox view of them display a link to see the associated article?

The Colorbox trigger field in Views may be able do fix this. There is not much in the way of documentation about this feature unfortunately.

A future part of my Colorbox sreencast serie will demonstrate some way to use it but I can't say when I will have time to do it.

Can you please explain how you added these additional fields? I've searched but did not get any information about that (except for the new field collection module which seems to be a little bit buggy and which does not give the option to sort the existing entries so far).

I haven't done much with it, yet, aside from add fields that don't seem to come up anywhere by default.

Also, I realize I haven't added fields to fields, but added fields to a specific field widget.

This doesn't work for D6, any thoughts? I would like to load a description, and a few additional image fields with each image in the colorbox modal.

I tried creating 1 view field and rewrote the output to include the tokens for all the needed fields, and had colorbox trigger load it. It just displays a standard gallery.
