Hello Commnunity!

I'm trying to build custom module, cause I'm not happy with Views. I know, that's easy to realize there, but somehow it's not my stuff.

I'm trying to build custom module with one page where i would like to display only that terms, field of which contains the needed value.

For example i have Vocabulary "Sports" and there are terms like "Showboarding", "Skating", "Swimming" and much others. For that vocabulary i'va defined custom field which let's say bescribe Sport Type as "Extreme", "Swimming", "Winter" and other. So, i will only display that terms, where the field value is set to "Winter".

Can someone help me with needen API Functions or a code-snippet?

I know that i can load all terms with fields from the decided vocabulary and then just sort them out, but it will take to long... So may be there is some other solution?
