I have a weird problem with my Drupal installation. If I try to post a page/story with content over 1000 characters in length, Drupal acts as if I left the body field empty. I have had this issue with 4.4.2, and now CVS. I can insert the data into MySQL with PHPMyAdmin and the mysql command, and Drupal displays it properly then. Another copy of Drupal CVS running on the same machine also has this issue. While an installation of 4.4.2 on a Windows IIS server worked perfectly.

I'm using Gentoo Linux with Apache 2.0.50 and mod_php. I've let drupal's .htaccess do its configuration of mod_php.

Is there something I'm missing? This seems really odd to me.
