Is it possible to add extra fields to custom made content types without using an extra module? I've searched a lot in the administration section, but I can't find anything.

Are you using Drupal 5.0?

No, you have to install CCK to add fields.

It's not part of core.

5.0 RC1.

Hmm, pretty dumb you can create custom content types, but not customize them.
