I just realized that tao_preprocess_node and mysubtheme_preprocess_node are being called twice on node pages.
Is this normal? How can I to avoid this?

I'm seeing this as well, even for my subtheme. I've got a drupal_set_html_head in my theme_preprocess_node, and the header it adds winds up showing twice. Similarly, if I dsm the vars, i get *two* krumo instances at the top of the page. so the process function is definitely being run twice.

Any ideas why this might be happening? Could it be something to do with, say, the context system? Or could a node_load be triggering it?
