In general this makes sense to me.

However, there's currently a lot of bugs in the 7.x issue queue for plupload that have gone with little or no attention. I'd like to see some progress on those before Media Gallery is added to the project page.

Not just Media Gallery, but Media itself integrates with Plupload (that probably wasn't true when this issue was opened).

When you feel the 7.x issue queue is under control, please add Media rather than Media Gallery to the list, or if you think it's appropriate, both.
