"File attachments" disappeared?!?

All of a sudden the option to attach file "File attachments" is just not there anymore in creating a page/story etc..?

The “upload” module is and was enabled at all time.

I even disabled and enabled “upload” module again to see if it will come back. No luck!

I love drupal, but it’s these things that get me frustrated, I haven’t done anything for this to happen?

Anyone know whats wrong?

Sorry in the title it meant to read 'disappeared not 'diapeared'.

did you check the settings in administer -> settings -> content types -> configure
that you are allowing attachments for the content types in question ?

Getting frustrated shortens your life. Breathe deep and often and know that most things that are "wrong" are default settings not immediately seen.

Oh wow, I am an official Drupal moron.

Thanks VK! You’re always there to rescue, I was banging my head on the keyboard for the last hour.

I must apologize to my Drupal at once for all the bad names I was calling it.

I like Drupal again!

no problem. a few more months of plugging away and your agility in the administration area will improve greatly. Things that seem annoying and frustrate will fade and your Drupal awareness and instinct will supercede. : )

This type of oversight typically happens when a new content "type" module is turned on and we forget to go in and change its default settings after enabling it.

Although software does talk back in a way (unlike animals and objects), it's an easy target for victimization/persecution.
