Drupal Association April 26, 2017 Board Meeting Update

After board meetings, I publish a blog post to provide an overview of the meeting along with the board packet, meeting minutes, and a video of the meeting. Since we just had a board meeting at DrupalCon Baltimore, I want to share details about that meeting as well as pull the lens back to give the community more insight into board meetings and our 2017 schedule. I hope this additional information gives better insight into the Drupal Association’s board activities.

Both the community and Dries Buytaert, Project Lead, see a need to evolve Drupal community governance. The Drupal Association can help in a support role. We will start by hosting mediated community discussions so everyone around the world can participate, be heard and understood, and share their ideas.

Learn the latest from the Technical Advisory Committee as they evaluate tooling options for the Drupal community and prepare their recommendation.

Drupal 8.3.0 is now available

This new version includes improvements to authoring experience, site administration, REST support, and a stable version of the BigPipe module. Several experimental workflow, layout and content moderation improvements are included as well.

Working through the concerns of our community

It will take time to heal, but we want to make a start today by providing insight into our decision-making, answering questions, and placing a call for improvements to our governance, conflict-resolution processes, and communication.
