Continueing the work outlined here: #546956: [meta-issue] Overhaul of Information Architecture
Discussing with bojhan, catch, webchick and sun yesterday evening in IRC we found a nice new home for all input/output related core settings:
Web Services
* Blog API
* RSS publishing
* Aggregator
(contrib candidates: Feed API, RDF, Services, Twitter and Facebook integrations etc.)
We think the term 'Web services' will be recognized well by the people who will want to use the items underneath it (they are relatively 'scary' tools for newbies, but bread-and-butter for those in the know).

Gábor Hojtsy#535564: D7UX IA: actionable top level content item already includes adding the "Services" category as part of fixing a bug, so it might be better to let that introduce this one and use this issue to move other items as well. Should this be "Services" or "Web services"?
Comment #2
stBorchertI'd vote for "Services" since its more general.

Bojhan CreditAttribution: Bojhan commentedThis is an important category, and scary enough to not just harmlessly use the items in this category. Especially where Drupal 7 seems to be going regarding importance of technology such as Aggegators and RDF, we should be able to catch all these "Pulling in" and "Putting out" of Drupal modules into one category.

Gábor Hojtsy#535564: D7UX IA: actionable top level content item is committed, so getting going on this one :)

Gábor HojtsyThis was piece of cake compared to other similar patches due to the (unfortunate) lack of tests for these areas, and their apparent simplicity (no subtabs and subpaths and lack of cross-references). Aggregator is already moved and the Web services category already exists, so only Blog API and RSS publishing was left.
