The default front page view has been modified using Views module to show full image nodes (no teaser and thumbnail). We'd like to launch the lightbox from Image nodes using the preview image size. Image trigger size = preview but not working. Using Drupal 6.8 and Image module 6.x-1.0-alpha3. Any suggestions?

That's not possible at present. The automatic image handling only works with images that are also links.

I've added lightbox2 support for the preview, original, etc links that appear on the image node page under the content. This will be included in the next dev release, available later today.
