Problem/Motivation

When I'm working in an issue that has a MR, I oft download the diff in the issue page and apply it because it's easier to identify the changes in the IDE. I think it would be nice to have *.diff extension in the .gitignore file as well.

Proposed resolution

Add *.diff to the .gitignore file.
