Support for Drupal 7 is ending on 5 January 2025—it’s time to migrate to Drupal 10! Learn about the many benefits of Drupal 10 and find migration tools in our resource center.
Problem/Motivation
The Migration plugin describes itself as Migration process plugin.
Steps to reproduce
See https://git.drupalcode.org/project/drupal/-/blob/9.3.x/core/modules/migr...
Proposed resolution
The migration process plugin represents one single migration and acts like a container for the information about a single migration such as the source, process and destination plugins.

quietone CreditAttribution: quietone as a volunteer commentedWhat a lovely little find. This is definitely incorrect documentation and not only that, it is confusing and won't help people learn the migration system. I searched for other issues concerning updating the documentation to that file and couldn't find any. And while the documentation could be further improved I think this should be fixed now.
I am removing the migrate tag because this is in the migration system component - seems redundant to me.
