The README.txt for d8 says to assign widgets at admin/structure/rate or Structure > Rate. That page does not exist. The actual page is at: /admin/config/search/votingapi/rate. Not knowing this makes the module unusable.

Thanks for working on the documentation. Unfortunately this section is out of date. It's probably about D7. There are new options and there is no "Add widget" button now. This section needs updating.

After installation, the configuration page will be available at

widgets. Each widget has an edit and delete link. You can add a tab on the
form below 'Add widget'. In this form you have to choose a widget type. See
section 3 for more information on this topic. Both editing and adding a widget
leads to the widget configuration (see §2.1).

Here is a patch that updates the wording of the 2. Configuration section to describe the D8 options.

After installation, the rate settings configuration page will be available at /admin/config/search/votingapi/rate. This page displays an AJAX setting, bot detection settings (see §2.3), and a list of content types with enabled rate widgets. Beside each content type is a dropdown where you can select a rate widget type for it. See section 3 for more information on this topic.

I also updated the 3. Widget types section to remove "Emoticon" and reorder and capitalize the widget types to match the dropdown list on the configuration page.
