jhodgdonHere's a proposed patch, which adds a step to the "Running the interactive installer" page and a link to a section of docs on drupal.org that tells how to update file permissions (among other information):

eojthebravePatch looks good. And I like that we link to the community documentation for tips on how to resolve this since as is mentioned earlier there's a lot of nuance depending on your specific environment.
