I'm using fivestar in Rate.
While the fivestar widget is shown, it does nothing when I hover/click on one of the star to vote.
A "Undo" link is shown, but nothing else is being changed, no result shown, no indicator of the voted star count, no class changes on HTML level.

ishani.addweb CreditAttribution: ishani.addweb at AddWeb Solution Pvt. Ltd. commented@SiaoKiax3, I think it is working fine, Can you please verify my below steps that Performed by me to check your above mentioned problem
-> Go to extend & install the rate module with Voting API
-> After Installing the module visit configuration page, Rate settings > choose widget type(here I choose five Star) & check for ' ENTITY TYPES WITH RATE WIDGETS ENABLED '.
-> Lets take an example of "Node", Select the node from ' ENTITY TYPES WITH RATE WIDGETS ENABLED ' (Image attached for reference)
-> Now Save the configuration & Use the voting feature for any node.
-> You can view the "Voting results" inside Node view page tab's, Where you can find the voting details already given.
-> As per your comment, it is not showing any effect on hover on it, but it is working. You can also undo your rating by using the same.
Hope you follow the same.
Thanks!.

I've updated the patch to include hover functionality for the stars. You can see the stars change as you hover over them if you can vote.
