YesCT CreditAttribution: YesCT commentedsome people might want more details about what mentoring coordinators do, check out this great docs page we added recently

YesCT CreditAttribution: YesCT commentedI know all the work these coordinators do beyond "just" mentoring, but for those that dont see it as much as I do... here you go.

alimac CreditAttribution: alimac commentedI am honored. The list of tasks in #3 describes what I have been doing in the past year. My goal is always to improve the things that can be improved and automate the things that can be automated.
heddnTo echo alimac, I'm equally honored. For a while now, I've thought that the best way to get D8 was to duplicate myself and get work done through others. It is exciting to see folks that I have mentored over the years become very active participants in seeing D8 get out the door. The only thing I'd add to the list in #3 is that I'm also involved in mentoring at camps and sprints.
star-szrA hearty +1 to all the suggested inclusions!
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commentedThe core mentoring coordinator responsibilities, are:
Of these, I do 1, 3, and 5. I could do 4, and I have mentored at non-Drupal OSS events. But 2, organizing events, is not an area of strength for me. I know myself enough by now to be sure about that. Avoid disappointing surprises by never having me plan an event.
YesCT CreditAttribution: YesCT commented@cilefen deal! maintaining IRC mentoring is something I dont do very much anymore and it is great to have others to take on that.
valthebaldThe honor would be mine, too. From Chris's list, I would like to participate more in 2 (organizing mentoring on DrupalCons). During the last year, I've helped to organize sprints in 2 camps (Wroclaw and Sofia).
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commentedThis sentence doesn't make much sense.
star-szrI think the comma after "process" is not needed, and it should probably be "processes" to match the plurality of tools and documentation.
Also I would combine the last two sentences:
"They organize communications and logistics and they actively participate as mentors."
But besides that everyone has commented so once we get wording ironed out this is RTBC I'd say.
cilefen CreditAttribution: cilefen commentedTry: "Drupal Core mentoring coordinators strategize, recruit mentors, and mentor the mentors." or similar.
davidhernandezReworded some things, and put the names in alpha order. I didn't bother with an interdiff since almost every line is different.
davidhernandezChanged some wording again. Cilefen and I were discussing this in person. We had an actual author agree that the word strategize in that sentence is awkward and superfluous.
YesCT CreditAttribution: YesCT commentedI'm ok with the new wording, and each of the people have chimed in.
