I think that the 'rel-nofollow' link attribute should be added to the 'printer-friendly version' link by default as this will prevent Google from thinking there is duplicate content. It will also mean that the print version of the page won't show up in Googles result listings.

Actually, if you look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nofollow, it seems that there is no difference between specifying rel=nofollow or using a nofollow META tag (as the content is fetched anyway). As it is only a couple of bytes, I may do it anyway, but it won't make any difference in practical terms.
Notice that the nofollow META tag is enabled by default.
