there is some discussion on generating different output formats for the book.module and there is even an excellent pdf writer. however, most of the content is already in html, word, txt etc and it would be nice to have a data *importer*.
since most formats can be easy exported towards html, it would be great if there was an add-on to import html data into the book, with the possibilities to drop content in pages, depending on tags. so a h1 would for example be a tittle while other conetent would just be in the book, i think you get the idea. any takers?

This imports books from an XML file (as for example exported from Drupal).
If you want to import from another format, you could transform (say via XSLT)
from your source format (DocBook, OpenDocument, DITA, Microsoft Office XML)
to this format relatively easily.
