It seems drupal is now supposed to be storage-engine agnostic.

Views module, for instance, removed the "MyISAM" stuff some weeks ago - see http://drupal.org/node/89332.
I guess we should do the same.

Not sure I was clear, though. My question was "before or after our next cck release that's intended in the very next days ?".
Well, patch is quite simple and most probably not bound to break anything.

Sorry for not responding. I'm out of town and had no internet connection. Obviously this needed to be done and you did it so all is well.

BTW, I'm planning to issue new release tomorrow when I return unless someone tells me we're not ready for it.
