The following sections explain how to manage users, groups, and their permissions. If you haven't already, read Before you Start to get a better understanding of Drupal Terminology.

Access rules
Learn how to manage Access rules, which limit access to your site based on user, email or hostname.

Control access to certain sections of your site by managing Permissions. This section also covers permissions related to posting content.

Roles allow you to easily set global permissions for a group of users by defining roles such as "Authenticated user", "Anonymous user", "Administrator", etc.

User settings
Configure default behavior of users, including registration requirements, e-mails, and user pictures.

List, add and edit users.
