Hello,
I cannot update any Drupal 7 module since a few days, I searched a lot and tried several solutions, but nothing works...
Here is the error message I obtain each time I try a module update, after the progress bar:

HTTP error 0 occurred when trying to fetch https://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/captcha-7.x-1.5.tar.gz.
HTTP error 0 occurred when trying to fetch https://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/entityreference-7.x-1.5.tar.gz.
HTTP error 0 occurred when trying to fetch https://ftp.drupal.org/files/projects/views-7.x-3.18.tar.gz.
Downloading updates failed:
Failed to download captcha from ...projects/captcha-7.x-1.5.tar.gz
Failed to download entityreference from ...projects/entityreference-7.x-1.5.tar.gz
Failed to download views from ...projects/views-7.x-3.18.tar.gz

I tried especially:
- to modify chmods of several directories
- to empty caches
- to manually copy module tar.gz
- other things...

Could you please help me?

Thank you in advance,
Brgds

Hi Bestazy,

Thank you for your help,

I tried several times to update core files but this didn't change anything.

I also tried to create another tmp folder with full write mode --> the sub-folder "update-cache-####" was created while trying to update modules, but nothing was copied into it.

It seems that dowloading any module is absolutely refused since my latest core update, some months ago.

Please have you got any idea?

Thank you for not leaving me alone :)

Download the modules by clicking on the links provided in your first post. Extract them. Remove the folder content in modules and copy (sftp) the extracted folder content. Call update.php from your browser.

Hi mmjvb, all,

Thank you for your help, but my issue is finally fixed!

I tried another direction, and contacted my web host, and they detected that I used an old version of PHP.

I just upgraded this, and everything finally worked!

Happy new year 2018! :)
