Hello,

I am new to Drupal, I'm a convert from wordpress and I don't know all that much about php. I want to change my drupal installation from the default themes to a new downloaded one, namely the Trip theme which you can download from this site.

But I keep getting this error:

Fatal error: Class theme_trip: Cannot inherit from undefined class basetheme in /home/nik/public_html/mylagoon/themes/trip/trip/trip.theme on line 1

Can someone please explain what this means?

To me it looks like you are using drupal 4.4 (or cvs) and a theme that has not been updated for 4.4 yet. Themesystem changed between 4.3 and 4.4 so you can only use themes that have been updated for the 4.4 release.

Are their docs on updating the themes for 4.4?

Converting 4.3 themes to 4.4. if you update the theme, please consider contacting the author so he can put up a 4.4 release.
