On a fresh install of 4.2.0 at Contrast I modified the style and .xtmpl files a bit, nothing that should cause any problems..On loading I get all sorts of errors like
user notice: [XTemplate] parse: blockname [header.IF_has_slogan] does not exist in /home/contrast/public_html/themes/XTemplate_Tableless/xtpl/xtemplate.inc on line 415.
and
user notice: [XTemplate] parse: blockname [header.LOOP_block.IF_NOT_has_link] does not exist in /home/contrast/public_html/themes/XTemplate_Tableless/xtpl/xtemplate.inc on line 415.
I'm not sure how to deal with these or how xtemplate.inc ties into the theme as a whole, so I'm not sure where to start on troubleshooting..Any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
ross

Did you remove these comments
Did you remove these comments?
-- BEGIN: comment_new --
-- END: comment_new --
etc etc
I modified the xtemplate theme to tableless and when I first removed those comments I also got quite similar errors as you.
thanks!
Ah, I think that fixed it..thanks!
One more thing off my list of things to do..
Why Does Removing Comments Break xTemplate
EDIT: Now I understand how it works. I don't quite see the advantage of the xTemplate system, or maybe I'm just not taking advantage of it.
