Hello, sorry, I m super noob in Drupal.
When I go in my site to https://example.com/sites/default/files/2019-05/wallpaper.jpg it works great, but if I go to the Drupal location in https://example.com/system/files/2019-05/2019-05/wallpaper.jpg I get an nginx 404.
This doesnt happen with pdf files, both paths work ok.

I do not think by default
I do not think by default files will be exposed via direct url. You will have to explicitly setup permissions and configure drupal to do so.
Following post will give you more details.
