Hi,
After deploying Drupal, when we access the contents. The URL generated are as below :-
Http://localhost/node/1
Is it possible to hide anything after fqdn.. while accessing any content.
E.g. http://localhost
Thanks and regards,
Neeraj

From my point of view is
From my point of view is against accessibility and seo. There are few solutions, ajaxify your website with jquery, then you'll have control over the links or put whole site into iframe tag (that is even worse :))
I disagree
I would recommend using PathAuto https://www.drupal.org/project/pathauto to create automagically better names for your links so /node/1 could become /shopping/shoes or whatever, but you can use pathauto to set rules for what your links will be based on the content info like title, date, folder, location.
This is very powerful and gives search engines better info on how your site is laid out.
will try pathauto
Thanks will try pathauto but will it work on edit and revision URLs as well ?
E.g. node/1/ediit will change to shopping/shoes/edit
If node/1 is shopping/shoes
?
I guess I am not following. Revisions should not affect the root path of the article. An edited article still should have the same path unless you create a rule that changes the path. Revisions are internal to the CMS.
Pathauto alias
When a content is created following URL is created
node/1
If this content need to be edited URL will be
node/1/edit.
I tested the module and it is creating alias for first one only and not the second one.
