Hi All,

I have been running into a issue with external menu links. The menu items which have external links do have "_blank" for new window display but the problem is that when clicked current window is also redirected along with new window making the link load twice in two tabs.

I saw a similar issue which was ages old but don't think its the same scenario here !

Is the site utilizing the external links module?

No VM, but it has "Menu attributes" module installed !

I disabled the "Menu attributes" module and installed the External links module and it did work for the external links. But when I tried to consider a subdomain to be treated as external this issue still remains. Seems like the problem with subdomain links when treated as external.

I though it was an issue with Menu attributes module later Extlinks module and later custom js code which I placed for external url handling but thing is even if remove all of that the site is still behaving strangely. Not sure what is actually causing the current tab to redirect to external link as well.

Anyone have any thoughts ?
