Booking plugin for Drupal

I have not used Drupal (used to be a heavy user few years back) since quite a while. I now need to put together a site (for me) that would include a simple booking page pronto. This is for booking my of own work. Customers would log in and open a booking calendar where they could enter a booking request for a full day, or half day. Ideally they would only see the booking created by them, not other customers. Is there anything in current version of Drupal that would allow me to do this quickly, or do I have to use Word Press for it (WP has several free booking plugins).
I would prefer D8 for this just because that's where development is going, but happy to hear any suggestions.
