i want to have gallery in my drupal site... it will be a simple gallery showing images in thumbnails...
when each images is clicked, the images will be displayed in large size on next page with detailed caption...
caption will be specific to image...

which module should i use to achieve this?

So after a bit of research i found that a simple gallery can easily be developed using content type + views.
this guy explained it wonderfully well..
