I have installed Views Data Export module to export my view into a word document file. That created a button which when clicked by the user downloads the view into a .doc file.
The question is that I want this file to be also uploaded to the server as .doc file and its path to be stored to the database when the button is clicked.

Is that possible with Rules modules or another way and how?

I want to store the doc file to server because the view's contents are changing and I want the user to have a list of docs with the old versions of the view.

This issue is also of interest to me. I'm wanting to make a webform that has selection options created by a content type entries, which will use the data in that content type to create a word doc on submission.

I am also working on a similar concept. Have you found a way to achieve storage to server for the .doc file?
