If a give a name to a CCK field. For example, filefield. I don't want to show that name (for example File Download:) before the file name in the node view. Should i hardcode this function in the CCK module?

You can use Contemplate to control the output. It seems a little tricky at first, but it's not that difficult after playing about a bit.
