Want to improve UI with AHAH & Popup module on a table to manage DB entries, refreshing table without reload

I currently have multiple custom modules throughout my admin area that manage a table of entries in the database. I've modified the forms which add, edit, and delete entries to now use the Popups API module and have everything working great, but wish to reload the table/form without refreshing the page.

Wanting to continue to improve the UI, I have tried to find something in the documentation that covered using AHAH to create the table with the results and haven't had any luck in either the module or Form API documentation. I don't specifically need to use the Popups API module, but want to continue to modify the entries using a ligthbox style popup. I've gotten some AHAH functions to work, but only basic form navigation. The only information I have found dealt with adding items to a form dynamically, which wouldn't seem to apply to my case.

Any help, suggestions, tutorials or even a step in the right direction into this matter would be greatly appreciated.
