Hi,
I'm trying to install Drupal 6.2 on a server that is not my own server. It's a domain I've registered and now I'm trying to install and use Drupal 6.2 on it. I used phpMyAdmin to create a database and a user with privileges to acces this database.
I actually did everything precicely as told in this movie (Quicktime required).
However, after filling out the database form in the Drupal Database Set-up I recieve the following error:
Failed to connect to your MySQL database server. MySQL reports the following message: Access denied for user 'pantera'@'localhost' (using password: YES).
Click here and here to see some screenshots.
My phpMyAdmin settings are as follows:
- Database name: pantera
- User name (Use text field): pantera
- Host (Local): localhost
- Password (Do not change the password): ********
Check screenshot.
- Global privileges: none
- Database-specific privileges: ALL PRIVILAGES (for database 'pantera')
Check screenshot.
A whois lookup on the domain tells me the following about the server:
Server Type: Apache/2.0.54 (Debian GNU/Linux) FrontPage/5.0.2.2635 mod_python/3.1.3 Python/2.3.5 PHP/4.3.10-22 mod_ssl/2.0.54 OpenSSL/0.9.7e mod_perl/1.999.21 Perl/v5.8.4
I think this is as much info as I can provide. Maybe the solition is very simple but I've tried some things and nothing seems to work!
Any suggestions?
