Currently, my website has an excerpt from my blog on the front page - but I was looking to get rid of that preview entirely, so my home page can be more simplified. However, whenever I try to remove it from the blocks in structure, I receive an error saying I'm not allowed to do this --- any advice?

I am using drupal site since sometime,i want to have a simplified blog platform for our team to directly post the blogs and articles to the web page, can anyone help us with any suggestions.
