Better explanation

Ok so here’s what I want to create as the basis for my site, what I would like is for someone to tell me the best way to get the results I have had in my old site http://mouse.nodstrum.com/index.php

Firstly: I have Drupal 5.x, with CCK, Members and Organic Groups installed.

The site is a reunion site for old friends to contact each other… a social network. At present the test is at http://www.afterthemouse.com/members

The Group dynamics:
The site members are divided into around eight sub-groups.
These groups are roughly worked out on location.
Some members may have worked in more than one location.
Each member is invited to list the years during which they worked in each location.
In each location there are around twenty sub groups based on job.

I would like each user to sign up, tick the appropriate boxes and then be grouped appropriately.
Previously I had used http://mouse.nodstrum.com/form2.php
to collect the info and displaying each group as… http://mouse.nodstrum.com/results.php?results.php&action=wholeResort&res...
and then each member as e.g. http://mouse.nodstrum.com/full_profile.php?u=11

Any and all help would be appreciated…
