Hi - I'm in the process of switching a site over from Wordpress to Drupal (this is my first time using this software) and am having a problem understanding the event module functionality.
If I click on Create content I can pick 'Event' or 'Blog entry'. Is it possible to add event status to a blog entry, rather than defining it's status at it's creation? Failing that, is it possible to convert a node from one content type to another (ie, story -> event)? Basically I'm looking to have this behave like event calendar 3 in wordpress does.
Thanks in advance...

node_filter.module
I'd love to know if there's a way to do what you want. This is a problem that I've worked around by embedding one node into another with the node_filter.module at http://drupal.org/node/87746
Nodetype module
Well, well, there's a new Nodetype module now that appeared in CVS a few hours ago. It's currently for D5 although it works pretty well (aside from a UI glitch) on my test site running the latest 4.7.x-dev tarball.
yes
thank you - this is exactly what I was looking for.
