Hello,

I'm writing a convertor from Dotclear (a blog software ; http://www.dotclear.net/) to Drupal.

It look it works and would be then soon published :-)

I would like to know if some of you are interested and would/could give me some feedback about it when it would be released...

What is converted :

  • Categories
  • Posts
  • Comments

What is not converted :

  • Users : I guess that user is the same in Dotclear as in Drupal (I do a mapping about user with uid=1)
  • Trackbacks : it's an external module, so I do not convert them. Trackbacks are now converted as comments

Version 0.1 covers :

  • Categories import
  • Posts import
  • Comments import

This convertor DO NOT convert :

  • Users : I guess that user in drupal with uid 1 is the user we had in Dotclear
  • Trackbacks : this is an external module from Drupal so trackbacks are now converted as comments

Small improvement with 0.2 version :

  • an htaccess.txt file is created to allow permanent redirection from dotclear urls to drupal ones.

I just released 0.3 version which fixes a bug on order comment display.

I released 0.4 version a few days ago which fixes a conflict on thread comments order ;-)
