How can I get usage statistics of modules, number of issue, last release date, module status etc.? D.org offers this feature? Is there any (open) APIs?
I need it to create a site like (and better than :)) drupalmodules.com, in my native language (russian).
Thanks! :)

You could ask the guy who runs http://drupalmodules.com, which you wish to copy. He seems to be pulling in up-to-date info about releases, but the download count is different (for Administration Menu he gives it as 33040, d.o. says 2,125,627), so probably it is not easy to do via an API.

I'm sorry for necroposting in this almost two years old topic, but I'm so happy :) to see that Drupal.org has own API now (yes, I know that's since 7 August 2014, but anyway..).
Thanks so much to d.org maintainers :)
There is a bit confusing that d.org actually has two API, so I just want to notice that:
https://api.drupal.org/api/drupal
https://www.drupal.org/api
Interesting, I didn't know
Interesting, I didn't know Drupal.org provided an API to pull data.
