Hi all,

I would like to know if someone has recently experimented performance comparisons of these CMS, running on also recent LAMP configurations (Apache 2.4, MySQL 5.6, PHP 5.4 branch).

Considering only performance reasons, which CMS would you choose for a 10K-20K visits/day website?

I have not. I have done a lot of work getting Drupal to work fast. It is certainly a lot more resource hungry than WP. But page speed load depends on many things. Drupal runs more code than WP, and when the cache is cold requires heavy IO, but it need not be slower if you are willing to spend enough to resource and tune your LAMP suitably. For non-logged-in users you can use Varnish to make any site fast.

I agree with you, also you might ask yourself what kinda features do you need, like if you have big corporation / communite website where you want more functions and develope custom features, it's easy with drupal. But if it's small site with 5-6 pages of content then I'd go to Wordpress it depends really what you want. For the speed you can use Boost module in drupal which makes it noteablity faster :)
