Drupal Monetization with Skimlinks

I noticed a lot of people are interested to integrate the popular skimlinks with their drupal sites to earn some money. Although there is a skimlinks plugin for wordpress and drupal should have a module for this great bucks machine, yet I could not find any such module. Like many others, i was searching for skimlinks module but could not find anything like that. I think, you do not need a module for that (correct me if I am wrong)

I tried couple of things and came up with a solution. I already have added on my drupal site and it is working fine for me.

Here are the steps to follow:

1- Create an account with skimlinks
2- Wait for their approval
3. Get your code
4. Go to your drupal theme directory and find the file page.tpl.php
5. Insert the code at the bottom of the file.
6. you are done. Now focus on your content.
7. To test, write a blog/node about a product such as nikon or blackberry.
Upon saving it will show you the results.
