I have another site on GoDaddy hosting and it's not as slow as the Drupal site I have. So I'm trying to determine if it's the hosting company or the content/database?
If it's GoDaddy (I'm guessing it is), what hosting companies are particularly good and still inexpensive?
Thanks.

Site5 is awesome.
I vouch for site5 too. Their support staff is incredibly prompt and receptive to your questions and concerns, and their prices are very reasonable. My site works fairly fast using the Drupal back-end, and works out of the box without extra tweaking (beyond the INSTALL.txt instructions)
Dreamhost
Dreamhost are really good, give tonnes of bandwidth and disk space (that upgrade every week)
If you sign up with a code like "monkeynuts" you get your first year for like $20~
