Link Bar module 1.x-dev:
------------------------

Overview:
---------
Provides an interface for adding facebook style links to the bottom of the page. It maintains its own database table, and exposes an editing interface for the module's data.

Installation and configuration:
------------------------------
Copy the 'linkbar' folder into the 'modules' directory and then
enable the 'Link Bar' module at 'administer >> modules.'

To add links to the bar, go to at 'administer >> site configuration >> Linkbar.'

Here is a list of all the fields and their description:

1. 'Title' - the title of the link that will be displayed in the link bar, e.g. 'twitter.com'

2. 'Weight' - the weight of the item (the lower, the more to the left the link will appear)

3. 'Class' - the CSS class of the link. In order to display an icon next to the name of the link, you have to add a class. For example, add the same name as the domain of the website (e.g. for http://www.twitter.com/youraccount, the class could be 'twitter'). For now, we only provided icons for Twitter.com and by default, a custom icon will be displayed. We will add more icons in the future.

4. 'Url', the url of the link (either within your site or outside).

The links will be displayed in a block at the bottom of the page using a fancy JavaScript effect. It uses a cookie to remember whether it was expanded or not. You can set any region for the block in order for the linksbar to appear. The module also uses caching to minimize database access.

So far, it is known to work in:
Firefox 3 (Mac / PC)
Safari 4 (Mac / PC)
Chrome

Currently it doesn't work in (to be fixed soon):
IE 7
