For each of our two-week sprints, Drupal Association staff will send out an email containing a list of planned changes. Change notification messages will also be linked from a change announcement posted to our @drupal_infra Twitter account.

We will typically send these notices on the first Tuesday of the two week period, from 19:00 to 20:00 UTC (11:00 am to 12:00 pm PDT),

Additionally, this list may be used to announce emergency changes to the Drupal.org environment.

The address changes@drupal.org is an alias of changes@association.drupal.org—a Google Group on the Drupal Association Google Apps account. You can subscribe/unsubscribe to this list or view a history of past changes at https://groups.google.com/a/association.drupal.org/forum/#!forum/changes.

Anyone interested in knowning about planned changes to the Drupal.org enviornment may subscribe. To post to the list, contact a member of the Drupal Association engineering team (tvn, hestenet, basic, drumm and joshuami are good starting points). Multiple notifications may be sent in a single email to the list.

Each planned change listed in the change notification message has a change record created on Drupal.org, in one of the two lists: software changes and infrastructure changes.

Change record are expected to follow the following format:

When (date and time range of change)
Production outage: YES or NO
What (description of change)
Related issues (list of URLs of issues addressed)
Who will make the change (who to contact if something goes wrong)
Backout plan
