What’s new on Drupal.org? - October 2018

In October the Drupal Association put together a new taxonomy for DrupalCon sessions, created a visual prototype of a new Try Drupal experience, and made good strides on the plan for improving Composer support in Core.

This video outlines the migration phases that we discussed in the announcement of our partnership with GitLab. Our migration window for Phase 1 is targeted for the first weeks of January, and we hope Phase 2 to be completed shortly in the beginning of 2019.

Developer Tools Initiative - Part 5: Announcing our Migration

The Drupal Association is pleased to announce a partnership with GitLab to modernize the developer tools on Drupal.org. The migration will take place in three phases over the course of the coming months.

In July the Drupal Association team met up in Portland for our biannual staff retreat. In between the meetings and merriment we found time for some great updates for the community. Please lookout for our announcements about changes to git remotes, in preparation for some big tooling upgrades on Drupal.org

In June the Drupal Association engineering team put out a notice about changing git remotes, launched a page about Drupal for Ecommerce, and made a contribution to the Open Demographics Initiative.

In May the Drupal Association engineering team added a new project category for recognizing community contributions, helped initiative coordinators with new landing page tools, and opened up historical issue credit data for users and organizations.
