To extend or customize the Project Management (PM) Module:

Field UI can be used to add more fields to the PM content types
Views can build customised views
Taxonomy (core) can be used to tag the contents of the PM nodes
File (core) can be used to attach files to PM nodes
Comments (core) can be used to permit comments on each of the PM nodes
