Issue priorities

Issue priorities are used to ensure that applications that have been awaiting review for extended periods of time are given the necessary attention. Priorities may be set according to these guidelines by either the applicant or the reviewer and generally apply only to applications with a status of needs review. For applications with priority higher than normal, once a reviewer has responded to the applicant according to the Security advisory coverage application workflow, the priority should be changed back to normal.

Minor

This is the priority for applications with a status of Needs work or Postponed that have been awaiting response from the user who created the application for five weeks or more. The priority is changed back to Normal one week after the status is changed back to Needs review.

Normal

This is the default priority used when an application is created. No application should start with a different priority.

Major

This is the priority for applications with a status of Needs review that have been awaiting response from a reviewer for three weeks or more.

Critical

This is the priority for applications with a status of Needs review that have been awaiting response from a reviewer for eight weeks or more.
